People matter, and they are not defined by their needs. Ensuring a widow receives ongoing protection is just as important to the mission of A Few Good Men as is fixing her broken fence.

A Few Good Men desires not only to meet the physical needs of the community, but also to meet emotional, relational, and spiritual needs by facilitating long-term relationships which are built on the foundation of Christ’s love. Our follow-up initiative, C.O.R.D., stands for Community Outreach Reaching the Defenseless, and its objective is to create the opportunity for one-on-one ministry with those whom our crews have served. Leaders of C.O.R.D. identify Christian volunteers in the community who are willing to meet regularly to encourage and protect those desiring companionship.

C.O.R.D. might be especially suited for you if you have a heart to serve, but are physically unable to volunteer on a crew. Members of C.O.R.D. are encouraged to make weekly visits for tea or coffee and be available to help with grocery shopping, transportation, or other on-going needs.

If you would like to apply to be part of this initiative, please fill out the web form below:
